10:20       Stop Stations (all return to classrooms for                      snack/washroom break)

10:40       Stations Resume

11:40 - 11:50  Clean Up

                            (All students go to Lower Field and sit                                    in their Divisions)

11:50 - 12:15   Lower Field Activities

                            - Preschool race

                            - Hula Hoop contest by grades

                            - Grade 7 water balloon toss

                            - Grade 7 tug of war

12:30    Attendance  (dismissal at 12:30 bell)

Grade 1 visit, Loutet Farm, and Fun Day this week

On Wednesday, next year's Kindergarten students will be visiting K classes as part of their orientation.  During their visit, current K's will be visiting Grade 1 classes.  They are all very excited about this!

On Thursday, we will be visiting Loutet Farm again.  The forecast is for rain so please ensure children have proper rain gear and boots that day.

Friday is Fun Day.  The theme this year is Pirates.  Your child can (or can not) dress in pirate attire.  Weapons and anything handheld would not be appropriate as they will be playing games with their hands.  Dismissal is at 12:30 that day.  In addition, since teachers are running stations, Kindergarten children do require a parent helper to escort them on Fun Day.  It is not necessary for every parent to attend - I will group unaccompanied children with another child and parent.  Younger siblings are welcome!  Please send me an email at lmaclaren@nvsd44.bc.ca if you plan to attend.

Just to let you know, I am working on embedding 2 more videos onto this blog - they are of our classes actual performances.  It is beyond complicated and time consuming but I am working on it!

Primary Days of Music Festival

We are performing a song and a dance at the primary music festival this Thursday.  We are scheduled to board the school bus around 10:00 and return to Brooksbank around 12:30.  If you wish to watch the performances, you are more than welcome to meet us there.  It is at the Lucas Centre, 2132 Hamilton St.

Sunny weather troubles!

Hi all!

Please dig out those hats and pop one onto your child's head on these sunny mornings. We often go out at 2:00 when the sun is particularly warm and I worry about their little heads.
